In a few moments the show in Bahrain with our Robert Kubica's main role will
start. And the foreigners should really learn how to pronounce the name,
cause they will really need it :-)
How to celebrate Kubica's Pole Position? As an experiment I bought
Lithuanian wheat beer Švyturys.

It's going to happen tomorrow – the final race of 2007 Formula 1 season.
I wonder which one of the three World Champion title pretenders will have
the most luck…

Phew, those who followed the F1 Canada Grand Prix in Montreal can now
breathe normally. Robert Kubica must have used up all the bad luck limit
this season, though on the other hand one can also talk about lots of luck,
as he was not injured. Honestly, when I saw the accident, the one is San
Marino, Imola track, 1994 crossed my mind. It was when Ayrton Senna was not
so lucky. I was also watching the race live in TV and I remember
commentators' suggestions that maybe he moved his head after the crash and
maybe he'll survive. Unfortunately that was not the case.

Haha, a really
funny foosball table, which features the teams of Good and Evil. In the
first team you will find Mother Theresa, Flash Gordon, Mahatma Gandhi and of
course God himself. The opposite team features such celebrities as Adolf
Hitler, Jack the Ripper and Lucifer. I won't post the link to the table's
maker, because they have a horrible website made in Flash.
When talking about foosball, I'd like to mention that I almost never played
it for all my life until I came to Google, where I was quickly drawn into
the game by my colleagues.

And finally Fernando in the last race of the season held on Interlagos
curcuit in Brasil finished on the second place, which was more than enough
to score his second World Championship title. Obviously, an important event of
the final part of the season was the announcement of Michael Schumacher's
retirement from Formula one, as well as his outstanding performance in recent
races. Obviously he was also keen to get the top podium spot in Brasil, but
technical difficulties were against him. Nevertheless, big respect for his crazy
chase today from the last place, when he was almost a lap behind, to the fourth
position at the end. Bar the flat tyre, Ferrari looked invincible.

I was quite surprised today when I saw that the Irish sports TV channel, Setanta Sports was showing a live broadcast
of the Euro 2008
qualification game between Poland and Kazakhstan.
Surely this is quite an important game for Poles, but seeing it abroad was quite
unusual. In addition to that, they didn't show the game of their own Irish team
vs. Cyprus, which took place at the same time. The explanation is simple – at
least 100 000 people migrated from Poland to Ireland since we entered the
European Union and it is a very substantial number for such a small country.
Apparently people at Setanta are good observers and they felt this will bring
them more viewers. The Irish are more into their own sports – Gaelic Games, like hurling and Gaelic football.
Conveniently, these sports are almost unknown outside Ireland, so they can
comfortably say they are the best in the world.
